So, you regularly beat down Angelina Jolie's zombie and Paris Hilton has totally written on your wall. Well, it could be them...

Ok, so there may not be (m)any actual Hollywood A-listers on there, but the good news is that you can now friend me on Facebook and I'll tell you even more about the celebs you love to like. Look forward to seeing you on there.

And what have the rich and famous been up to this last week?

Remember that trip you thought was an awesome deal until you discovered that you had to bare-handedly build your own boat and forage for all your food in the forest? Well, perhaps it wasn't that bad, but it's never fun when the all-inclusive doesn't include all that much. The comforting news is that it happens to celebs, too. True, they can far better afford it than us, but they're also used to so much more luxury.

At least the two stars slumming it weren't of the especially high-maintenance variety. Brad Pitt and co-star Sean Penn are in Texas shooting their new flick 'Tree of Life'. But instead of being met with five-star hotels and lavish on-set trailers, they've had to pay for their own accommodation — rented houses nearby the film site — since the producers couldn't get a discount rate from the local Hyatt hotel.

Thing is, it's probably more than worth these actors' coughing up for a place to stay - there's loads of indie film cred to be had on this movie, which is written and directed by Terrence Malick, writer of the critically-acclaimed 'The Thin Red Line'.

Of course, it doesn't matter if you're a brilliant, famous director if you want to do anything off the beaten blockbuster track — precisely the reason this flick is being independently produced (that is, not by one of the big Tinseltown studios) on a microscopic budget.

On the other end of the spectrum, there's huge popular hit 'Desperate Housewives', which has seen the cast winning awards, gracing umpteen magazine covers and promoting hair colourant, amongst other things. But lately there've been some serious rumours doing the rounds that Nicollette Sheridan is not much longer for the world of Wisteria Lane. Is her character Edie getting the axe?

The show's creator hasn’t exactly put the dampener on speculation about the fifth housewife's demise. "Edie is going to cross a huge moral boundary that she's never crossed before on the show and it will have devastating consequences for her and lead to a shocking conclusion to her time on Wisteria Lane," says Marc Cherry. Conclusion, eh?

TRIXY HONORÉ
(pronounced On-or-ay) delights in the candyfloss vacuousness of celebrity gossip. Living in New York City, Trixy keeps an eye out for the rich and famous of the Big Apple as she hunts for great vintage clothing and tries to balance the joys of both style and substance. She is a firm believer in nice manners, wrist-length gloves and the greatness of television.

Still, I take with a serious pinch of salt the word of a man who, you know, owns the show and really, really wants you to watch it. That said — 'DH' fans better keep an eye on this latest season of the series when it comes out in SA.

What you may not want to keep much of an eye on is Paris Hilton's MySpace blog, which she's now threatening to update even more regularly. The gems that will ensue! They're going to be analysing them in literary theory classes for many years to come.

And can you blame them, when she's already revealed such interesting and beautifully worded things as this?

"Just wanted to check in and say hi! I've been on tour with my boyfriend for almost a month now. We've been everywhere from South Africa to all around Europe. It's been so much fun! I've never felt so happy and in love, he's such an amazing guy and life has never been better! :)" Paris informs us. Ja, it's only been two months Hilton's been together with Benji Madden, but they're definitely, totally more in love than she and her ex-fiancé were.

"It's so much fun going to their shows every night, I now know every song by heart. I love Good Charlotte, they rock!! All the guys in the band are so cool and sweet and it's been such an amazing and memorable experience."

My eyes are glazing over... from, uh, fascination.
