BITCH AND FAMOUS
The wild and the restless

And the babies just keep on coming... Nicole Richie and J.Lo's hubby Marc Anthony both headed out this week to their first public events since becoming parents, and Halle Berry and her gorgeous model boyfriend Gabriel Aubry welcomed their little one into the world. They've named the no doubt staggering beautiful baby Nahla Ariela Aubry. (Nahla is Arabic for 'honeybee', in case you're curious.)

"We didn't have a name picked out until just before we left the hospital. For us it was hard to name the most important person in our life until we met her," explained Halle. She's also said that she's learning her French-Canadian boyfriend's native tongue, and that they're planning to teach their daughter both French and English.

Gabriel's sister Eugenie — also a model — is thrilled that her niece will grow up bilingual: "I'm a Quebecer, and it's great that she is learning how to speak French. I'm glad that the little one will speak French, too."

Berry may be a very happy new mother, but she is — unbelievably — not especially thrilled to say goodbye to her baby bump. Just recently, she remarked: "I want to stay pregnant forever." Not a sentiment women nearing the end of their pregnancy typically express. Perhaps celebs just don't get puffy ankles and back pain...

George Clooney may just be the only star left in Hollywood who's neither a brand new parent nor showing any signs of becoming one in the next nine months. And, as it turns out, he's also not rejoining 'ER' — despite the rampant rumours to the contrary.

The gossip was that Clooney was all set to return to his 'ER' roots, but he's nixed the idea: "No, never — we never even talked about it. No one has ever asked me. It's the funniest thing. The story came out, and I was like: 'Where did that come from?' It was everywhere — I mean in one day!"

"I was 33 when 'ER' hit, so I have a very different outlook on the way things work. I don't think I was supposed to have been famous. I realise how much of this is luck." I need some more of that multi-million dollar luck in my life, I think!

Of course, with the money come the paparazzi. A snap-happy entourage wherever you go...

Nicole Kidman's never been a fan of the photogs, but her trainer/assistant David Garris is even less keen on the tabloid hordes. In fact, one photographer is alleging that Garris beat him up. Part of the bust-up was caught on video, which apparently records Garris shouting: "You can't f..king chase me, you're f..king with me... I'm f..king sick of you guys." Still, it's unlikely there'll be any fewer paps following Kidman next time she does something as exciting as, uh... hiking.

TRIXY HONORÉ
(pronounced On-or-ay) delights in the candyfloss vacuousness of celebrity gossip. Living in New York City, Trixy keeps an eye out for the rich and famous of the Big Apple as she hunts for great vintage clothing and tries to balance the joys of both style and substance. She is a firm believer in nice manners, wrist-length gloves and the greatness of television.

Bad times for Nicole, but great news for Richard Gere — he's won out in India where (you'll remember from last year) he was up on obscenity charges for light-heartedly sweeping Bollywood star Shilpa Shetty into a movie-star-style kiss on stage at a New Delhi Aids charity event. Says the judge: "Richard Gere is free to enter the country. This is the end of the matter."

So, Gere can safely return to India now, but I'm guessing that he'll be avoiding any public displays of affection next time.

Looks as if the UK's bad for PDAs, too. Kate Moss has been banned from ever getting on stage with her new boyf's band, The Kills. It's her man Jamie Hince's fellow band member Alison Mosshart who's reportedly issued the strict no-Moss edict.

"She has," according to a source, "told Kate to keep her boundaries and keep her hands off the mic. Alison and Jamie have worked for years to make a name for themselves and have only recently had the success she thinks they deserve."

Alison obviously learnt her lesson well from Kate's rather Yoko Ono-like tendencies with the former love of her life, the delightful Pete Doherty and his Babyshambles. Moss not only sang with them a bunch of times, she even went so far as to add her vocal stylings to their album 'Down in Albion'. No supermodel grandstanding for The Kills, though, if Alison has her way.
